Aria Networks - Executive Team

The executives of Aria Networks have a wealth of global telecommunications market experience coupled with proven execution in bringing to market innovative and differentiated products that can fundamentally change the traditional architectures, technologies and practices of telecoms.

Tony Fallows – Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

Tony has 20 years of experience in the global telecommunications market in varying roles. Tony brings a wealth of experience in sales, business-development, marketing, and product-management, including executive management roles. Tony has developed teams for early-stage businesses and has experience of developing new markets. Before joining Aria Networks, Tony had most recently held Vice-President roles at Marconi Corporation and Riverstone Networks.

Dr Jay Perrett – Chief Science Officer and Vice-President of R&D

Jay has spent over 25 years developing evolutionary computing and Artificial Intelligence in academia and industry. Jay is the key architect of DANI, which is at the heart of Aria Networks’ products. Jay has spent many years working in the telecommunications market (Bell-Labs, Lucent, Movaz, and Redback) and in the Life Sciences and Pharmaceutical markets. Jay has considerable experience developing and bringing innovative products to market as he was a founder and head of R&D at Darwinian Neural Networks Industries and the CEO of Applied Insilico.

 

Chris Hares - Director of Development

Chris has over 15 years experience in the software industry, including a focus for the past 5 years on the management of high performance and scalable telecoms solutions with Logica / Acision, the IT Services provider. Prior to Logica, and after starting his career with the Royal Air Force, Chris had significant experience working at management and executive level for a number of successful and innovative start-up companies such as Alterian, Cymap and CBL Technology. Chris brings to the role expertise on the best practices for software development and experience of working to the highest levels of software quality standards. Chris holds a First Class Honors Degree in Software Engineering.

Jon Richards – Chairman

In recent years Jon has chaired to exit a number of companies including Citymeeting Ltd, Redsky IT Ltd, MM Group, Propero Ltd and Quadstone Ltd. Jon has a wealth of relevant experience in the UK IT industry and was CEO of Anite Group Plc from 1989 to 1997. He was Chairman of the National Council for Education & Technology reporting to the Minister of State from 1992 to 1995. Jon is also chairman of LowCostTravel Group a high growth internet-based Tour Operator.

 

Andy Charalambous – Non-executive Director

Andy has nearly two decades of experience in senior sales management roles in the telecommunications industry. Most recently, he served as Vice-President of EMEA for Marconi’s Data Networks Division. Prior to Marconi, Andy served as Vice President of Worldwide Sales and Services at Orchestream Holdings where, during his tenure, he drove sales revenues from zero to over $25 million. Andy also held senior sales management positions with Unisphere Networks Inc., Tellabs Corporations Inc., and Anite Networks.

 

David Rice-Jones - Non-executive Director

David has 20 years' financial and operational experience in the software and telco sectors.  Most recently David was CFO at Jacobs Rimell where he ran a successful exit process for investors, resulting in the sale to Amdocs in 2008.  Previously David was CFO of Cramer for four years where he was responsible for Cramer’s acquisition of T-Soft and lead commercial and contractual negotiations during the sale of Cramer to Amdocs in 2006.  David has also headed up European Finance for Access360, Continuus Software and Cadence and his early career was spent at Nortel where he held a variety of commercial finance positions.  David qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1985 and has an honours degree in Engineering Science and Management from Durham University.

 

Mark Boggett - Board Member

Mark is the Investment Director of Seraphim Capital, one of the many funds managed by GLE, Europe’s largest venture capital organisation. He’s an active investor in technology across all sectors and stages serving on numerous boards throughout his venture career. Prior to Seraphim he was the Investment Director of London Seed Capital and three further venture EIS funds. He initially trained as an equity analyst and fund manager at Williams de Broe and Brewin Dolphin before moving into venture. He has a degree in Accounting & Finance, an MA Economics & Finance and a range of professional investment qualifications.
