Facebook to Present Network Optimization Case Study at APRICOT 2017

On Wednesday 1 March, Facebook will present a case study on optimization of the Facebook backbone network, at APRICOT 2017 in Ho Chi Minh City. The case study will reveal the groundbreaking approach that Facebook is taking to optimizing its IP and optical layers together, to support its hyper-exponential growth economically.
It will also reveal how significant savings on network total cost of ownership can be realized using AI-based multi-layer optimization.

APRICOT is the Asia Pacific Regional Internet Conference on Operational Technologies, and is the region’s largest international Internet conference, attracting attendees and speakers from over 50 countries. It’s a busy event, with a week of workshops (20-24 Feb) followed by a week of presentations (27 Feb – 2 Mar).
