iVNT MPLS-TE
iVNT MPLS-TE is intelligent planning and optimisation software for Multi-Protocol Label Switched - Traffic Engineered (MPLS-TE) networks. iVNT MPLS-TE enables Capital Expenditure (CAPEX) for MPLS-TE network infrastructures to be effectively deployed at the right time and the right place, and reduces Operational Expenditure (OPEX) by removing manual and labour intensive processes.
iVNT MPLS-TE is used to plan and optimise MPLS-TE networks that use Resource Reservation Protocol - Traffic Engineering (RSVP-TE) control plane.
iVNT MPLS-TE enables you to:
• Represent and visualise network scenarios comprising Provider (P), Provider Edge (PE) and Customer Edge (CE) router network topologies.
• Build network scenarios which represent any moment in the life-cycle of your network and compare “now” and “next” scenarios, clearly seeing the differences in required equipment capacity and LSP/service routing.
• Understand how your traffic impacts the resource utilisation, identify capacity hot-spots in your router network and plan future network capacity and equipment needs based on forecasted demands.
• Undertake comprehensive and automated event and failure analysis to understand and alleviate the impact of failures of routers, inter-router links, fibres, vendors, or shared-risks such as power or ducts.
• Plan the route of one or many Point-to-Point (P2P) or Point-to-Multipoint (P2MP) LSPs on the network using any network and service policy or rule, and optionally using Open Shortest Path First – Traffic Engineering (OSPF-TE) or Intermediate-System to Intermediate-System – Traffic Engineering (ISIS-TE) topology data. Combine without restriction any network property and constraint to represent your required policies.
• Plan Fast Reroute (FRR) detour paths to facilitate automatic rerouting of traffic on an LSP if a node or link on the LSP path fails. Configure global FRR policies and auto-generate all required FRR detour paths for a given scenario.
• Optimise the characteristics of LSP paths utilising a wide variety of optional constraints (for example bandwidth, costs, delay, hops, distance, and many others) and derive paths and Explicit Route Objects (EROs) for use by management systems or the RSVP-TE control plane.
• Route one or more LSPs with end-to-end protection paths (1:1, 1+1) with a range of options for relaxing or exempting path protection needs to meet any protection design rule.
• Explore and understand the relationship between network resources and individual LSPs, showing all LSPs originating, terminating or transiting network resources.
• Asses and minimise the impact of planned-engineering-works by re-routing specific LSPs away from any specified resource.
• Plan green-field or brown-field scenarios and optionally plan and optimise all or parts of the network.
iVNT MPLS-TE is part of the iVNT planning and optimisation suite of products and is integrated with the proven and flexible capabilities of Aria’s iAdapt and iCustomise frameworks. iVNT MPLS-TE has the same “look-and-feel” as other iVNT products providing a very consistent range of products which are both highly functional and easy-to-use.
